POP3/IMAP4/SMTP
- Overview
- This page allows you to modify the Device parameters.
- Send E-mail Settings(SMTP)
- Server Address
- This field displays the Host Name or IP address of an SMTP mail server (outgoing E-mail Server) on your network. (Ex. smtp.example.net -or- 192.0.0.1)
- If you are using the DNS name of the SMTP E-mail server you must use the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) such as smtp.example.net.
- Port
- Specify the destination port number of the SMTP server that you will connect to.
- Server Authentication Method
- Specify the authentication method for the SMTP server. This value determines which type of method is used to authenticate the user to the SMTP server.
- None : Does not authenticate to the SMTP Server.
- SMTP-AUTH : Uses the method which is SMTP Authentication. If this method is used, It is necessary to set the SMTP account details correctly.
- SMTP-AUTH Account Name
- SMTP-AUTH Account Password
- Specify a name and password to be validated with the SMTP server. To set for no password, enter a single space.
- Device E-mail Address
- Enter the e-mail address of the Device. If an administrator address has not been correctly entered, the Notification Mail will be sent to the Device. If you do not set a Device e-mail address, the Notification Mail is not sent to the administrator.
- Receive E-mail Settings(POP3/IMAP4)
- Protocol
- Select the Protocol you wish to use to connect the E-mail server.
- Server Address
- This field determines the host name or IP address of the POP3/IMAP4 server (incoming e-mail server). (Ex. pop.example.net -or- 192.0.0.1)
If you are using the DNS name of the POP3/IMAP4 E-mail server you must use the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) such as pop.example.net. - Port
- Specify the destination port number of the POP3/IMAP4 server that you will connect to.
- Mailbox Name
- Mailbox Password
- Specify a mailbox name and password on the POP3/IMAP4 server where the jobs are to be retrieved. To set for no password, enter a single space.
- Use APOP (POP3 Only)
- Specify whether APOP is used or not when logging in to the POP3 server.
- Select Mail Folder Name(IMAP4 Only)
- Specify the mail folder to use for IFAX e-mails.

Use the "INBOX" folder in your e-mail account.

Use a specified folder in your e-mail account.
If the mail folder is in a hierarchical structure you need to enter the root folder and use "/" to separate the folder names.
(e.g. : FolderA/FolderB/FolderC) - SSL/TLS
- Set the POP3/IMAP4 over SSL/TLS setting, if you need to receive E-mail using SSL secure communication.
- None: SSL communication will not be used.
- SSL: Communicate securely over the network using SSL.
- TLS: Communicate securely over the network using TLS.
- Verify Server Certificate
- Select the "Verify Server Certificate" checkbox to verify the Server by using the CA Certificate that must be installed when using SSL or TLS.
- Segmented Message Timeout
- If a job is separated into multiple email messages using the segmented message feature of the Device, this value indicates how long the Device will wait for all of the segments of the message to arrive.
